Recently one of our members once again reached the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner. Despite the terrible weather get up and down safely.
In other news, as we have two of our men (Martin and Charles), sets off in August, the expedition to the really big moutain. They want to reache and skis down from the top of Muztagh Ata in western Pamirs. We keep our fingers crossed for them. Soon more information.

On website now you can watch new galleries from past trips unrelated to the project. In addition, we were able to cooperate with the media, among others National Geographic.
Changes, changes, changes...

Unfortunately, a severe political sytuation near Elbrus has forced us to change our plans. At this time our plan for this year is Kilimanjaro. We are planing to go there at the end of this next year. Elbrus is further our goal, but only the earliest next year.
In the meantime, we appeared on facebook. Now just click "I like it!" (under the menu on the right) and you can get fresh information from our project (including more videos and photos.)

A new tab had just appeared in the menu - "Other trips". This is a link to the gallery on Picasa. Each of us will throw the pictures there from various other trips / excursions, not necessarily related to our project.
Plans for new year

A new year, so the new plans. After long talks and thinking, we made plans for this year. We're going to Elbrus. The first plan was the Kilimanjaro but we changed plans. After the organizational meeting and division of duties we are starting to work to complete plans for this year.

Welcome back after a long technical break!

Our site was unavailable for a long time. We had huge problems with moving our site to a new server, but finally we succeeded. There is a complete photostory from our expedition to Mont Blanc in the gallery. The movie has also been assembled, but it needs some final editing before it can be uploaded to Youtube. We will post a info here as soon as it is available on Youtube, so stay in touch. Meanwhile, we're inviting you to visit our photo gallery.
We summited Mount Blanc!

On July 19, 2010 at 15:30 our team (unfortunately not complete) reached the summit of Mount Blanc. There will be pictures, relation and video from the expedition soon. This is our great success: our first mountain, which opens our project.
Mont Blanc in July

It is certain that, we are going to Mont Blanc in the second half of July. Only a part of our team is participating: Karol. Mateusz, Piotrek and two Marcins. We have just signed agreements with sponsors and we're finalizing purchases of necessary equipment. We're exited and already filling like climbing the highest peak of Europe.
Reduction of our plans

After a long consideration, we decided to reduce our plans for this year. We are not going to reach Elbrus this year, but we're certainly going to summit Mont Blanc in July. We're still looking for key sponsors for our project to finalize purchases of necessary equipment for our expedition. In addiction, we have frequent team meetings, to plan our budget and to discuss every aspect of our expedition.

During almost a month of working on our project, our group has expanded. Mateusz, Marcin F. and Ilona are new members of our team. In addiction, we managed to establish cooperation with a number of media representatives who are interested in our project. We are also at the stage of negotiations with potential sponsors. In conclusion, our project develops, which brings us closer to realize our plan for this year (Mount the Blanc and Mount Elbrus), and also to realize the entire project.

"9 Summits" is a project that has one main goal - to climb the highest mountains of each of the seven continents. The project involves sic mountain lovers, who, in addition to climbing want to propagate the ideas and values of alpinism among young people. On this page, we want to present who we are and show our determination in pursuing the objective that we set ourselves. We will also present photographic and written reports from ours recent expeditions. We invite companies and individuals who wish to support our project (bookmark sponsors).
